What it had to do
Every lawn and landscape site says the same four things: reliable, affordable, family-owned, free quote. None of that separates one crew from another, and none of it proves the thing a customer is actually buying, which is whether your yard will look better than the neighbour’s.
The bet here was that one continuous piece of footage of a property, under the reader’s own control, argues that better than any paragraph.
How it was built
- A frame sequence, not a video. The aerial shot is played out as individual frames drawn to a canvas and advanced by scroll position, so the reader controls the camera and it never buffers, stalls or autoplays with sound.
- The camera is tied to the copy. Each beat of the page owns a fixed window of frames, so the shot arrives at its mark exactly when the sentence about it does, instead of drifting out of sync on a fast scroll.
- Everything degrades. With motion reduced or scripting unavailable the page is a normal, complete, readable site — the sequence is an enhancement, never the content.
- Structured data and a real quote path, because a beautiful page that does not turn into a phone call is decoration.
This is a demonstration build for an invented business. The business does not exist — the name, the prices and the details are invented so we can show the standard of work without putting a client’s site up as a sales tool. The code, the design and the build are entirely real. We label it because a demonstration presented as a client is the thing we least want to be.
