Houston, TX · Built from scratch · Yours before you pay
Web design in Houston, priced in plain numbers.
Most web design quotes in Houston arrive as a range and a sales call. This page is the opposite: the four prices we charge, what each one buys, how the build actually runs, and the one thing we do that almost nobody does — your first page is built, live, before you pay a dollar.

What a website costs in Houston.
Ask five Houston web designers and you get five shapes of answer — a template price, a “starting at”, a studio quote of $5,000–$15,000, a monthly plan that never ends. Ours is four fixed numbers, and a quote you can read before anyone calls you back.

- Your first page, built before you decide$0
The four rungs, in full.
Every one buys a site you own outright, built from scratch, with the first page built before you decide. The differences are what you supply, how many pages, and how many rounds of changes are included.
Nothing to prepare.

Built from your actual work.
- Your raw job photos, cropped, colour-matched and placed properly
- One page, written from one call — you talk us through the work once, we take it from there
- 2 revision rounds
You write nothing.
- We write every word and curate every image — or bring your own, and the same budget builds more site
- Around five pages, built to turn visitors into calls
- 3 revision rounds
One thing nobody else has.
- A hand-coded interactive centrepiece — a roof that assembles itself, a photo that develops as you scroll
- Six pages or more, scoped before we start
- 5 revision rounds
Included on every rung
- Measurement — analytics, Search Console, lead tracking
- Works with screen readers and keyboards
- Pages that load fast on a phone
- Domain & email housekeeping
- You own everything
The fine print, in plain words
- Hosting is your own account — about $200 a year, about $350 if you take payments online, billed by the platform and never marked up by us.
- Extra rounds run $200–$500 by rung, quoted before you spend anything.
- The build is due in full at launch, and nothing before it.
- Aftercare is optional, from $59 a month, after the site is live.
Already have a site? The rungs are the same for a rebuild, because the work is the same work — see what a website redesign changes, and what you keep. Starting from nothing but a Facebook page? Read what a small business website costs and includes. Roofing company? There is a page on what a roofing site has to do in storm season.
Why the first page is free. A proposal asks you to imagine the site. A finished page lets you look at it. We would rather spend a few hours building the real thing than an hour talking you into it, and it is the only way to show what “built from scratch” means for your business specifically.
How the build runs, start to finish.
No dates on this page, on purpose. You get a real timeline on the first call, for your site. What never changes is the order.
- Same day, we talk.
Ten minutes about your business: what you do, who calls you, what the site has to say. You talk to the person who builds it, from this call to launch.
- We build your first page, for real.
Real code on a blank page. No template, no page builder underneath, nothing shared with another site. You owe nothing for it.
- You get the link.
Open it on your phone, show people, decide with it in front of you. If it is a no, that is the end of it.
- Pick a rung, and we build the rest.
Each price above lists its pages, what you supply and how many rounds of changes it includes. You review, we revise, in rounds you can count.
- Launch, in your name.
The site, the domain and the code are yours outright. Analytics and Search Console are set up before it goes live, so day one is measured.
- After launch, only if you want it.
Aftercare from $59 a month covers monitoring, backups and a monthly report. Take no plan and the site still stays live; changes are just quoted one at a time.
Actually in Houston.
On The Map Web is one person, in Houston, and the number on this page rings the person who builds your site. Some pages for this search are written in Houston’s voice from offices in other states. That does not make their work bad. It does mean you should know which one you are calling.
Being here also means we build the way Houston businesses actually get found: on a phone, from a search, by someone who wants a number to call more than a page to read. Every site puts the call and the text one tap away on every screen.
Call or text, this is the builder’s phone

Same day, we talk. That is the only clock on this site, and it is one we can keep.
Who we build for.
Trades and local businesses, mostly, and any business that lives on the phone. Each of these is a real build: open it and scroll the actual page, or read how it was made on the work page.
The questions people ask first.
How much does a website cost in Houston?
For a one-person or small trade business the honest band is wide: a few hundred dollars for a template someone fills in, $5,000–$15,000 for a studio build, and monthly plans in between that never quite end.
Ours is four fixed starting prices: $799, $1,500, $3,500 and $7,500+. Each one buys a specific thing, listed above, and nothing on this page is a "starting at" that grows once you call.
How long does it take?
We do not put a build clock on this page, because a date we cannot keep for your particular site is worse than none. What we do promise is the response: the same day you reach us, we talk, and your first page is built before you owe anything.
On the first call you get a real timeline for your site, with the things that usually stretch it named up front, which is almost always how fast you can send photos and answer questions.
Do I have to write anything or send photos?
It depends on the rung. The Calling card is built from what is already public about you plus one short call. Landing is built from your own job photos and one call. From Signature up, we write every word and curate every image, or you bring your own and the same budget builds more site.
Do I own the site?
Yes, on every rung. The finished site, your domain and the code are in your name. Hosting is your own account, billed by the platform, never marked up by us. If you take the hands-off aftercare plan we hold the hosting for you and hand it back whenever you ask, free.
What does hosting cost?
Hosting is your own account — about $200 a year, about $350 if you take payments online, billed by the platform and never marked up by us. There is no hosting line on our invoice at all.
Will people find it on Google?
Nobody can promise where a page lands in a search result, and we will not. What we do is build the site so a search engine can read every word of it, set up Search Console and analytics on day one so you can see what is happening, and keep the pages fast on a phone, which is where most of your customers will open it.
If your Google Business Profile is the thing actually losing you calls, that is a separate, smaller fix, and we will tell you so rather than sell you a website for it.
Is it a template, or WordPress, or a page builder?
None of those. Every site is real code, written from scratch for one business and no other. There is no theme underneath, no page builder, no plugin stack to keep patched, and nothing shared with another site we have built.
What happens if I look at the free first page and say no?
Nothing. You owe nothing and you have seen a finished page instead of a proposal. That is the whole point of building it first: you decide with the real thing in front of you, not a mock-up and a promise.
Do you only work with Houston businesses?
We are based in Houston and build for businesses anywhere. The way we work does not change with the ZIP code: same call, same first page built for free, same four prices.
Your first page, built before you pay.
Tell us about your business and we build your first page in full — a real, finished page, not a mockup. Fastest way is a call or a text to (832) 742-4572. Or email shane@onthemapweb.com.
