What it costs, before we start.

Every number on this page is one you would actually pay. We walk the property first, so the figure we give you is the figure on the invoice.

One-off work

Priced by the measure.

For work that is not on a plan. These are starting rates — access, slope and what is already in the ground move them, and the walkthrough is where that gets settled.

How estimates work

Three questions we get asked every time.

Why walk it first?

Because the two things that move a grounds price most — how water moves across the property, and whether a truck can get to where the work is — are both invisible from the street. A number given without seeing them is a number that changes later.

What actually changes a price?

Access, slope, and what is already buried. A bed that turns out to be sitting on builder's rubble is a different job from one sitting on soil, and you will hear about it the day we find it rather than on the invoice.

What is fixed?

The scope and the price we write down after the walkthrough. If we underestimated something, that is ours to absorb. If you add to the scope, we price the addition before we touch it.
